The Florida Council on Aging (FCOA) has honored PinPoint Results lobbyist and advocate Robert Beck for his work on behalf of older adults and aging-service providers across Florida.
Beck received the Dr. Carter Osterbind Outstanding FCOA Member Quality Senior Living Award, which recognizes statewide service and advocacy for older Floridians. The award is sponsored by Florida Power & Light.
FCOA said Beck has helped coordinate advocacy efforts and represent the needs of older adults at the state level. His work in advocacy and public policy began in 1990 with the Pepper Commission, followed by several positions in state government. He is now president and partner at PinPoint Results alongside his wife and business partner, Tanya Jackson.
“What distinguishes Mr. Beck most is his unwavering focus on fiscal responsibility and the measurable impact of programs. He possesses a unique ability to work across sectors, bringing clarity, accountability, and results-driven leadership to complex policy environments,” Independent Living Systems CEO Nestor Plana and Chief Administrative Officer Josefina Carbonell said in a joint statement.
Plana and Carbonell also credited Beck’s volunteer advocacy work with helping secure increased state funding for programs including Community Care for the Elderly, Home Care for the Elderly and the Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, as well as additional general revenue benefiting aging and disability service providers.
Award recipients are chosen through a competitive evaluation by a committee of FCOA members representing different regions of Florida and sectors of the aging-services industry.
